PURPOSE OF ROLE
Do you want to join the dynamic Logistics / Planning team and be in the middle of exciting product launches in one of the key growth segments in Europe? Then this role could be a perfect fit
Responsible for the overall forecasting, demand management and S&OP processes for switches of products during summer months, to support the marketing campaign linked to the ‘summer of sports’. Closely cooperating with Sales, Commercial Supply, Supply Chain Planning, Marketing, and other functions to execute best practice Sales and Operations processes.
Designs, develops, and conducts Sales & Operations Planning meetings, providing visibility and communication on sales, demand, distribution, and supply constraints. Partners closely with key Business Leaders to implement the business strategy, validate forecast accuracy and methodology, provide input to inventory strategy, and align financial/business plans with the operations plans, through the S&OP process.
Ensures effective monthly demand plan is in place across all regions, customers and delivery points groups to identifying and resolve significant and/or critical supply-demand imbalances in a timely manner.
Works with all stakeholders to assure that product promotions, marketing plans, sales plans, product launches and product phase-out plans for all product lines are addressed as part of the S&OP process.
Your main KPI’s are Service Level, Forecast Accuracy (FA), VILC and Obsoletes (SCL).
KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES- Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.- Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Customer Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.- Use and maintain the Demand Planning tool 09 as the primary forecasting system tool.- Track supply by market, surplus/short and old age inventories; communicate findings to Marketing / Sales and facilitate the resolution of issues identified.- Make recommended adjustments to forecast and inventory targets based on changes in demand and market trends.- Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on new products.
