**Job Description** To strengthen our company portfolio we are searching for a highly motivated professional to **_further accelerate our business _**in Belgium**.
As a Junior M&A Business Developer you will contribute in the pre-acquisition business activities in order to grow our company portfolio. You will represent the first contact in the M&A acquisition process: You find and reach out to companies in the software sector.
You will search, identify and contact valuable M&A prospects (who have built an attractive business) to increase the M&A pipeline for the long term. You have the opportunity of conversing with experienced entrepreneurs and you will deepen your knowledge of the (M&A) business in different markets and cultures.
We provide for a good and extensive (partly virtual), welcome and onboarding program. You will be based in Belgium. You have the opportunity to work from home or from our Belgium or NL (Utrecht) office, besides that you will be visiting prospects. You are willing to travel to the TSS offices when necessary.
**The job**
- Grow our M&A prospect database in Belgium by identifying vertical market software (VMS) businesses meeting our acquisition criteria.
- Visit trade shows and industry events in order to initiate contacts with prospective targets.
- Use Marketing and CRM data to build and maintain existing relationships with key stakeholders and maintain them.
- Follow up on outbound and inbound prospect activities in a timely manner.
- Conduct first line interactions with company (primarily by telephone/video call and face to face), in order to qualify potential targets.
- Document meetings/ interactions in form of notes, interactions and administer efforts in Salesforce (our CRM system).
**Qualifications**
- Independent & proactive worker, who can also work in a team.
- Commercial skills and sales affinity, ability to establish contact with senior executives at target companies who are unfamiliar with our company.
- Interest in and preferably knowledge of Finance and IT.
- Excellent English, Dutch and French communications skills.
- Eagerness to learn.
- Experience with (online) research.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor or Master degree preferably (not mandatory) in Business Administration, Economics/Accounting, Sales, Commercial Sciences, or Marketing Management.
- Fluent in Flemish/Dutch, English and preferably French business language
- Ability to understand financial concepts.
- 1-3 years’ experience in business development or sales roles.
- Willingness to travel to the office in The Netherlands (Utrecht).
- In possession of a driving license.
