To support the growth of our Translational Science team, argenx is seeking a highly motivated Translational Science Operations Specialist. In this role, you will support a wide range of activities related to planning, managing, and executing operational translational tasks. Close collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential.
This position is based at our facility in Zwijnaarde, Belgium, and requires daily on-site presence.
Main Roles & Responsibilities:
In close collaboration with your team members, you will play a key role in supporting operational and administrative tasks:
- Take full ownership of stock management and perform regular stock level checks.
- Responsible for operational tasks such as shipment documentation, organizing biobank samples, conference documentation, and ensuring accurate labelling.
- Assist teams in the operational oversight of vendors to ensure reagent and sample availability and stability.
- Maintain oversight of study documentation and ensure proper archiving practices.
- Support the tracking of translational activities, including contracting, shipments, delivery dates, expected/open invoices, data transfers.
- Support the maintenance of a robust research data management system.
- Assist in setting up and implementing internal processes and workflows, working closely with scientific teams.
- Contribute to the growth and development of the Translational Science team by helping implement template documents, best practices, and tools.
Profile:
- Holds a bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field, with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience, preferably in the industry.
- A first experience in project management is a plus.
- Motivated by a balanced mix of logístical and administrative tasks.
- Proficient in using office software such as MS Word and MS Excel.
- Fluent in both English and Dutch (spoken and written) - this is a mandatory requirement.
- Interested in working within a multidisciplinary team but able to independently plan and execute tasks.
- Demonstrates reliability, independence, and precision in carrying out responsibilities.
- A collaborative and committed team player eager to foster connections and contribute to team success.
