Key Responsibilities of the Sales Manager:

- To develop and manage a portfolio of new and existing clients across the cluster/region/area
- To drive all profitable revenue and market share growth for regional and area hotel(s) through the focus on a selected portfolio of existing and new local corporate and crew accounts (as defined by the line manager) to ensure more solid footprint in the market, better pipeline and have a more active client base. Also develop the sports segment and drive existing national sports accounts.
- To research, identify and establish new business sales contacts, develop relationships and revenue opportunities from existing clients
- To develop and implement focused strategies for account development in order to penetrate accounts and communicate to all internal stakeholders, leveraging collaboration and work from analytics team
- Take ownership of accounts and clients
- To undertake regular meeting and activities with managed accounts and ensure they have the knowledge to grow business and revenues
- Increase conversion in Meeting & Events opportunities via managed accounts, in close collaboration with M&E cluster team
- To agree marketing activity to underpin the account strategies and deliver increased customer / market share activity monitors progress on a timely basis
- To ensure regular communication with clients to deliver key messages and support the hotels as/when required
- To organize and host client events and familiarization trips, to enhance relationship and build client knowledge (based on commercial plans)
- To demonstrate a growth in production revenues and market share with account base, focused on total profitable revenue (in relationship with RevOps)
- To ensure all activities are recorded within all accounts via SAP Sales Cloud on weekly basis
- To ensure new business transacted via the Area Sales Team is handled in a professional manner and researched for further future

Requirements of the Sales Manager:

- Proven sales experience (min 2-3 years), ideally with previous hospitality experience
- Ability to adapt to changing service environments
- Great rigor, great organizational skills, planning (missions, action plan,)
- Commitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry
- Ability to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendations
- Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and cultures
- Skilled with Microsoft Office software, especially in Excel
- An open, positive, Yes I can personality
- Capacity to communication in Dutch/French/English
