**Head of Workshop**

Nilfisk is dedicated to providing professional cleaning equipment that meets and exceeds our customers' expectations. This is based on our tradition of innovation and quality for more than 100 years. Our global presence makes it possible to support our customers with wide product ranges and high quality service worldwide.

From our European Distribution Center, professional customized cleaning machines are delivered daily that meet customers demand in order to ensure that customers can fulfil all needed cleaning tasks. To handle these orders, we have established a team who will be responsible for testing and mounting various additional kits and batteries into machines of all kinds. Therefore, we are looking for a Head of Workshop to oversee and execute the daily operation. At this moment the team consists of 5 employees, but is expect to expand to 7-10 in order to meet the increased demands.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Run the daily activities in the workshop: delegate tasks, supervise the operation.
- Manage the team: make sure the colleagues follow the process instructions and work according to Nilfisk standards and working hours
- Provide leadership and guidance:, regular performance conversations and people motivation etc
- Plan and execute the correct utilization of resources to secure productivity
- Responsible for EHS in the workplace and make sure everybody has the needed training and education to perform the work
- Admin tasks (reporting, documentation, analysis, inspections etc).
- Assist in solving documented technical issues (Failure reports, Claims etc.) and propose process improvements
- Perform inspection related tasks in accordance with process descriptions
- Assist in global quality actions to all machines, if required
- _Be the point of contact for other departments_
- Occasional hands on-support if needed
- Bachelor level in engineering or technical field
- Hands on team leader with experience in operations and people management
- Working knowledge of MS Office and SAP ERP
- Fluent in Flemish and English in both in writing and speaking
- Focus on getting things done
- A continuous improvement mindset
- Independent and responsible with a structured working style

When we invite you for an interview, you will have a general, first-round interview with the hiring manager. If we both feel we could be a match, we will send you a personality and cognitive test that you can fill out at home. The second interview will be with HR and the hiring manager to discuss your assessment results. If we all feel confident about moving further, the final interview will be with the hiring manager’s manager.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent contract
