As an answer to the challenge of decarbonisation, John Cockerill designs, manufactures, and installs pressurized alkaline electrolysers. As a matter of fact, John Cockerill is the world leader in the delivery of electrolysers for the large-scale production of green hydrogen with more than 200 MW sold in 2021.
**Context**
In order to accelerate time-to-market of innovative solutions, John Cockerill owns a comprehensive, top-notch test facility in the MW-range. This test facility features a pressurised alkaline electrolyser centered around a short stack of 20 cells with active area of 2.1 m², identical to its flagship 5-MW electrolyser.
We are looking for a
**highly organized and level-headed Test Facility Manager (M/F/x)** to ensure that all operations run smoothly by scheduling test campaigns, ordering supplies, maintaining HSE protocols, training related staff, and supporting communication about this unique test facility.
**Role and Responsibilities**
- Coordinate and manage activities and programs within the test facility; manage records for all activities and programs, as necessary
- Oversees inventory management such as selecting, purchasing, storing, and allocating of test facility equipment, supplies, and data analysis tools
- Responsible for laboratory equipment, supplies, and data analysis tools including inspecting, maintaining, and/or troubleshooting as well as disposal of tested samples
- Manage financial and planning activities, responsible for the preparation of budget estimates and test calendars
- Closely collaborate with the test engineer and other internal stakeholders to define, improve, and organize the different test protocols
- Ensure proper maintenance, configuration and availability of the bench and its equipment
- Support Engineering team for other validation/testing activity when required
- Responsible for the safety of any person working on the test bench
- Maintain Log and regular report of testing activities to ensure Return of Experience is shared.
- Ensure that quality, deadlines, and costs are met on a daily basis.
- Conducting site visits and promoting the John Cockerill Group to any potential customers, and promoting our projects to employees, customers, and suppliers
**Profile & skills**
- BSc/MSc degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Chemical Process or Electrical) or professional experience justifying equivalent level
- A confirmed professional experience, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar position (test facility or laboratory manager)
- A previous experience in the fuel cell & hydrogen industry is a big asset
