**About the EIT Digital Growth Services and Access to Finance Team**:
The A2F team scouts fast-growing digital deep tech European scaleups to admit into the Growth Services programmes with the support of a Sourcing Specialist and an Innovation Marketing Lead. Lead generation for the Growth Services team is also yearly supported by the Champions scaleup competition, whereby the winning companies are awarded a waived entry into the A2F program (only success fee applies). The Champions competition is delivered by the Challenges Lead, who is part of the Growth Services team, and the Innovation Marketing Lead. The MarCom team of EIT Digital acts in support of all the marketing and communication strategies of Growth Services to raise brand awareness and sales.
The A2F team is also expected to support the execution of EU proposals won by the organisation that involve the delivery of Growth Services. As a result, the A2F team also provides occasional support in EU proposal design and writing for the parts pertaining to Growth Services delivery.
**The Role**:
EIT Digital is looking for an Access to Finance Team Lead who will drive the A2F Team to success by:
- Ensuring their Growth Services KPIs are met;
- Work with the Acceleration team to support the integration of the A2F Team in the organisation;
- Work with the MarCom team to get the A2F programme recognised as a European flagship programme for deep tech scaleups in the digital space in Europe;
- Build, maintain and grow a database of supported scaleups and startups using the HubSpot CRM.
- Proven track record in leadership position at a startup/scaleup accelerator. Direct experience in a startup/scaleup is a plus. Direct experience in a Venture Capital fund is a plus.
- Hands-on experience in fund raising for startups/scaleups, throughout the entire fundraising cycle in various startup stages.
- Experience in managing geographically distributed teams and driving them to delivery and success.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Education in both technology and business at masters level (STEM MSc and Business Development).
- 10+ years of experience in innovation, innovation management and/or innovation financing of core digital technologies with international exposure; Business acumen with track record of delivering results; experience working with C-level executives.
- Strong leadership skills and proven track record of successfully leading a distributed team.
- Intimate knowledge of deep tech startups ecosystems, including current tech, market and investment trends.
- Entrepreneurial/hands-on way of working and effective in execution; Operational excellence and attention to detail.
- Strong presentation and public appearance skills and ability to convey simple and effective value propositions and messages.
**KPIs**:
- Substantial revenue increase of the Growth Services thanks to:
- Increased intake of high quality scaleups and startups.
- Increased programme fees and success fees.
- Increase the value of EIT Digital portfolio of startups by supporting them with financial rounds.
- Growth of the HubSpot database and use of HubSpot as CRM to guide scouting campaigns.
- Growth Services success stories: scaleups acquiring large customers, raising large funds thanks to the Growth Services support, EIT Digital portfolio startups growing and fundraising or acquiring new customers or hitting internationalisation targets.
- Customer satisfaction.
- Growth Services reputation and brand.
**Languages**:
Mastery of English, with superior verbal, presentation and written communication skills. Professional working knowledge of language of country of placement is a requirement.
**Employment**:
Preferably at EIT Digital HQ in Brussels, although location at one of the EIT Digital European offices with easy connection for travel in Europe might be considered. Regular travel across Europe will be required.
