**Department Info**:
The Terumo Interventional Systems division (TIS) provides high quality, cutting-edge solutions for cardiac and vascular surgery, and interventional procedures performed inside blood vessels. We pursue therapies that minimize physical burden on patients. We offer diagnostic and therapeutic solutions for Interventional Cardiology (IC), Peripheral Intervention (PI), and Interventional Oncology (IO).

**Job Summary**:
As a Product Specialist in our Italian sales department, you will be responsible for promoting our CARDIOLOGY portfolio. Your goal is to support as well as initiate sales in targeted accounts by supporting the team with your technical expertise and market insights.
You will provide product support, education, specialized technical training, and insight in the proper use of specialty medical devices in selected procedures. Therefore, you will be operating often within a clinical and/or surgical/cath-lab environment.

The geographical focus is on Italy mainly and expands to Greece and Cyprus as well.
You report to CARDIO Sales and Marketing Manager, Emanuela Trecci and in addition, you will work closely with Product Manager, product specialist and Area Managers.

For this position we are looking to hire an Italian national whom is legally entitled to work in Italy with excellent communication skills in both Italian and English.

**Responsibilities**:
**Product Expertise**
- Understand product specifications and their positioning in the market.
- Understand pathologies, therapeutic fields and medical procedures related to the product portfolio (A2C, stents, micro-cath, PTCA guide wires, balloons, etc)

**Sales & Technical Support**
- Assist the Sales & Marketing team in the overall preparation of the annual business plan and more specifically in the preparation of tenders.
- Assist HCP's in the appropriate use of the product portfolio, collect and communicate feedback from the market
- Make sure dealers, distributors and agents (+- 70% of sales) knowledge and training capabilities on the product portfolio remain up to date.
- Follow-up of product quality related complaints.

**Promotional activities**
- Propose promotional activities in full compliance with company provisions.
- Support the team, especially the Marketing Manager, in organizing congresses and mono-sponsor courses.
- Participate in congresses, courses and any other promotional activities to ensure a good promotion of our products, as well as an excellent transfer of technical information.
- Training of internal and external stakeholders
- Give insightful product training courses to both internal and external stakeholders such as sales colleagues, distributors, agents, HCP's,...

**Profile Description**:

- By preference you have a degree in Biomedical Engineering or Economics.
- We will also consider professionals who have gained experience working within the interventional cath
- labs or clinical environments (e.g. nurse, technician, Radiographer,).
- A minimum of 2/3 years working experience, preferably in a cardiovascular related field or within a similar role.
- Excellent technical product understanding, excellent communication skills and the ability to engage customers.
- Professional fluency in English
- Willingness to travel 3 days a week and open to travel when this is required for the role.
