- With 830 employees based in Paris, Nantes, Madrid, Lisbon, Brussels and now Berlin, Nickel is accelerating its international development.
- Nickel has launched its activities in Belgium in June 2022 with the objective to reach 300.000 accounts and 1.300 Points of Sale within 6 years, and is now looking for its new General Secretary.

**About the Position**

The General Secretary works in tandem with the CEO of the Nickel Belgium Branch, and is part of the Nickel Belgium management team, with direct responsibility for Finance, Procurement, Human Resources, Operational Permanent Control, Office management and local reporting (financial, regulatory, tax, etc.). The position is based in Brussels.

His/her main missions will be:

- Management:

- Supervision and team management (3 people) in order to deliver the following missions;
- Finance:

- Control and coordination of the accounting production to ensure the accuracy of the financial statements, the transactional accounting being done in a shared service center;
- Control and overseeing the cash flow and ensuring it has the appropriate treasury controls;
- Elaborate the budget and strategic planning in collaboration with the CEO and other directors;
- Monitor the financial performance of the branch;
- Presentation of financial results and insights to the management;
- Ensure compliance with Belgian rules and regulations on tax and financial regulatory reporting;
- Oversee the accounting control reporting to BNP Paribas Group (FACT);
- Managing the External Auditor relationship and ensuring the organization is compliant with accounting standards
- HR
- Define the policies and HR process in relation with Nickel HQ in France: recruitment, employee handbook, rewards and benefits, training
- Ensure that the payroll is perfectly managed with the team and the external service provider;
- Interact and partner with the BNP Paribas territory governance in terms of HR initiatives;
- Spread the Nickel culture and values to the employees to grow the unique Nickel Spirit;
- Risk and Operational Permanent Control
- Manage and coordinate locally the operational control framework;
- Coordination with the central Risk integrated functions;
- Monitor and mitigate the risks to support the development of the business in Belgium;
- Procurement
- Ensure compliance with Nickel’s purchasing policy;
- Manage the local purchasing for the needs of the company;
- Office Management
- Ensure safety of employees and buildings;
- Manage real estate;
- Handling the animation of Nickel Belgium activities (organization of events, update of intranet, etc);

In addition to these direct responsibilities, you will also interact and work closely with Legal and Compliance integrated functions.

For all those missions you will be working very closely with the Corporate teams.

**PROFIL REQUIS**
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or other managerial position;
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills: in tandem with the CEO, you will oversee the branch with a transversal view;
- You need to have a long term view to ensure that all regulatory topics are well handled within the Branch;
- Capacity for analysis, synthesis and judgment;
- Professional ethics is mandatory;
- Fluent in Flemish and French, good level in English.
