Onze klant is een financiële instelling die de private sector in ontwikkelingslanden wil ondersteunen door te investeren in lokale bedrijven.

Als Investment Officer ontwikkel, structureer en monitor je de financiering van infrastructuurprojecten. Het gaat om projecten op het gebied van energie, toegang tot water, logistiek en transport, en telecommunicatie in ontwikkelingslanden (Afrika, Azië en Latijns-Amerika). Je helpt ook bij het monitoren van de investeringen in de portefeuille en werkt samen met een gemotiveerd team in een vriendelijke sfeer. Onze klant is op zoek naar iemand met een uitstekende kennis van financiële transacties en instrumenten, en een goede beheersing van het Nederlands, Frans, Engels en/of Spaans.
**Description**
- Je identificeert investeringen in lijn met de investeringsstrategie van het bedrijf door de economische, technische, juridische, sociale en milieuparameters van investeringsmogelijkheden te onderzoeken, eventueel in coördinatie met experts.
- Je leidt het project door de investeringscyclus, inclusief pre-goedkeuringen, on-site due diligence, voorbereiding van investeringsrapporten en memoranda voor het investeringscomité of management, onderhandeling over investeringsvoorwaarden, juridische documentatie, uitbetaling en overdracht aan het portefeuilleteam.
- Tijdens het hele investeringsproces werk je nauw samen met leden van het dealteam (E&S, Development, Legal, Portfolio Officers) en met belanghebbenden (Belgische ambassades, externe consultants, enz.).
- Je legt een prospect/klantenbestand aan en beheert dit door een grondige kennis van de doellanden, het opbouwen van relaties met sponsors en het infrastructuurecosysteem (zoals third-party marketeers, gelijkgestemde investeerders) en actieve prospectie.
- Je bevordert en versterkt de samenwerking in partnerlanden om de relaties met lokale spelers, potentiële partners en belanghebbenden voortdurend te verbeteren.
- Je neemt actief deel aan relevante investerings
- en netwerkconferenties, indien mogelijk als spreker of panellid.
- Je werkt mee aan de implementatie van de strategie van de afdeling.
- Je genereert een pijplijn voor meer junior Generalistische IO's en Infra IO's.
- Je ontwikkelt interne vaardigheden en capaciteiten binnen het team, bijvoorbeeld door het ontwikkelen en delen van kennis over belangrijke gebieden die van belang zijn voor het team.
- Je bent actief betrokken bij interne en cross-functionele vraagstukken om de tools, processen, systemen, standaarden en het beleid van het team te optimaliseren en continu te verbeteren.

**Profile**
- Hogere opleiding in bedrijfskunde, economie of financiën;
- 5 jaar relevante werkervaring in corporate finance of corporate banking, kredietanalyse bij een bank, investeringsmaatschappij of accountantskantoor;
- Analytische en kritische geest, georganiseerd, nauwgezet en autonoom;
- Vermogen om initiatief te nemen, snelle leerling en resultaatgericht;
- Sterke netwerk-, onderhandelings
- en communicatievaardigheden (mondeling en schriftelijk);
- Sterke teamgeest;
- Vlot Nederlands en/of Frans en Engels spreken is verplicht en Spaans is een troef;
- Sterke affiniteit met impact investing en opkomende markten - eerdere ervaring in de regio is een pluspunt;
- Bereidheid tot reizen: ± 15% van de tijd.
