We are ground breaking new digital technologies such as 4G/5G mobile communications, cryptography, cloud computing and big data for use in physical protection systems, and critical information systems.
Thales Belgium SA, Belgium competence center of Thales, is a company located on 2 sites, one in Tubize (near Brussels) and the other one in Herstal (near Liège). Thales Belgium, which employs more than 280 collaborators, is specialized in the design, development and supply of critical information systems for customers in the sectors of Defense, Security (including Cyber) and Aerospace.
**Novel Penetration testing techniques**:
**Mission**:
The goal of this ~3 months internship is to build specialized resources for simulating attacks with an extendable and customizable database of cyber tools for network traffic, services, IoT devices and communication in a customizable way with the capability to automate attacks. This will be globally organised as follows:
**Responsibilities**:
1. State of the art tools used for pentesting.
2. Creation of dedicated database and web-interface
3. Selection and insertion of specialized cyber-tools for pentesting and traffic generation
4. Optimization of the cyber-tools based on system type
5. Development of automated attacks
**Profile**:
General profile of the student: Master/Bachelor in Security/Software/Telecom/ Electrical Engineer:
- Strong interest/knowledge in cybersecurity attacks
- Strong interest in pentesting
- Knowledge of basic Web language
- Knowledge of Linux
