About This Job:
As a Medical Manager Oncology, you will be responsible for the implementation of the medical strategy (Core Medical Plan) in the designated therapeutic area at the affiliate level by coordinating and executing medical / scientific activities to understand the local external environment and data gaps; translate insights into strategies and activities and ensure the information needs of key stakeholders are fulfilled to help ensure the safe and appropriate use of Astellas products.
You will be part of an inclusive team that works to develop innovative therapies for patients.
Key Activities for this role:
- Understand External Environment and Data Gaps: Scientific Intelligence, advisory boards, medical Insights.
- Translate Insights into Strategies and Activities: Core Medical Plans, collaboration within M&D, collaboration with Commercial.
- Fulfil Information Needs of External Stakeholders: Data generation for Health Economics and Payers, data communication and Medical Education, External Program Funding for Research and Education.
- Compliance & Governance.
- Field Medical activities.
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
- Extensive experience in Pharma and solid experience in Medical Affairs is preferred.
- Some understanding of the drug development process as well as commercialization
- Preferable a good understanding of the dynamics of a large corporate environment; comfortable with matrix reporting lines.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of industry laws and regulations.
Educations/Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in health-related Science or equivalent.
