**Lead buyer non-ITS**

**Indefinite duration, full-time, Brussels**

**Your role & work environment**

Lead procurement projects and activities up to high financial and high non-financial risk, up to 5 million €, and facilitate the decision making of sourcing alternatives.

Report to the Head of sourcing non-ITS (all sourcing domains except for IT), who reports to the Chief Procurement Officer. Coach less experienced buyers.

**Your key responsibilities**

Category management
- Develop category strategies & plans to optimize spend. Take on role of category manager to manage one or more categories (collection of products and services).
- Continuously gather market intelligence on those categories.

Sourcing
- Lead sourcing activities (needs specification, supplier pre-selection, negotiation, contract drafting,...) up to high financial and high non-financial risk for purchases up to 5 Million € and support more experienced buyers in larger and critical purchases (e.g. global deals). All this in order to obtain best value for money from the supply market, ensure healthy cross-supplier competition, negotiate best contractual terms while mitigating business risks.
- Lead and coach cross-functional team members in the execution of sourcing initiatives end-to-end, and support more experienced buyers in the account management process.
- Ensure compliance with ING policies and processes and work with the business to rectify areas of concern and analyse and give an overview of the risks that the different sourcing alternatives encompass and manage a risk mitigation plan.

Account management
- Support more experienced buyers in the account management process.
- Contribute to the development of a multi-year account plan and progress management of the account plan.

As a Lead buyer non-ITS you will also need:

- Minimum of Master or equivalent experience
- Minimum >5 years of procurement experience
- Expert knowledge of your non-IT categories (products and services) and markets
- Expert knowledge of cost
- and unit prices of products and services and their composition
- High knowledge of sourcing strategies and negotiation
- Advanced knowledge of financials used in sourcing and category management, of cost management, of commercial contracts and purchase law, and the local and global bank-wide organization
- Proficiency in verbal and written English. Proficiency in verbal and written Dutch and/or French
- High ability to analyze complex information and to summarize into a clear overview
- Proficiency in Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) and procurement tools
- Skills to present regularly to and to moderate an internal or external management team
