- **Merchant Distribution Analysis Manager** to join our team**Context of the role**:
To optimize all distribution activities in the Industrial Gases supply chain whilst maintaining or growing customer loyalty by identifying, developing, implementing and measuring effective distribution productivity programms, business rules, processes and tools that involve commercial, retail and supply chain areas.
- The incumbent takes the ownership of distribution optimization projects requested by Sub-regional or Central Supply Chain Managers in support of their productivity and service goals.
- The job holder determines which analytical approach is the best fit to address complex distribution issues. The output will often result in updated policies and business rules.
- The Merchant Distribution Analysis Manager needs to efficiently influence Business, Commercial, Retail and Supply Chain Managers while working together on specific distribution optimization projects. Close collaboration with Sub-regional Logistics Managers will be necessary to implement changes.
- The incumbent manages a team of 4 distribution analysts.**As our Merchant Distribution Analysis Manager, your main tasks are**:

- Identify inefficient and underloaded transport activities and initiate supply chain and commercial actions to correct.
- Define the optimum distribution mode of supply across the three product lines (Liquid Bulk, CryoEase and Packaged Gases).
- Define optimal replenishment strategy for Liquid Bulk and CryoEase, including optimal Liquid Bulk tank sizing.
- Optimize the Packaged Gases Intersites network, balancing transport and inventory costs as well as production costs and investments.
- Define the most efficient agent replenishment strategy balancing transport and inventory holding costs.
- Determine the delivery zones of Packaged Gases depots and redistribution centers.
Ensure that the Packaged Gases end customers are allocated to the right channel (direct or agent).
- Develop a KPI scorecard for Merchant distribution covering cost, service, quality, safety.
- Act as distribution optimization consultant for non-European business units through best practice sharing and leadership replication pilot projects.
- Maximize the use of state-of-the-art mathematical distribution optimization techniques in collaboration with the IT teams.
- Identify further enhancements of scheduling/routing tool.

**Your profile**:

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in distribution or supply chain optimization or financial analysis.
- Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Research or Mathematics.
- Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certified and practical experiences.
- Good knowledge of SAP(supply chain), operations research techniques, R, Minitab and Qlik analytics platforms.
- Language Skills: fluent in English, Spanish and French are a plus.
- Strong supervisory and project management skills.
- Creative, analytical and methodical mindset with an eagerness to learn and improve. Self starter.
- Strong ability to influence individuals and management and drive peak performance.
- Ability to communicate clearly at all levels of the organization.
