**Your role & work environment***:As Head of Funding & Liquidity risks, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the risk strategy of ING Belgium in terms of funding & liquidity, and closely monitor its execution. Funding & Liquidity is at the core of the banking business, and is key to ensure the long-term sustainability of ING Belgium. You will also perform an oversight function on Group Treasury on the related matters.

In this role, you will be supported by a team of 3 highly skilled professionals. You will report to the Head of Balance Sheet Risk, who reports to the Chief Risk Officer of ING Belgium. You will interact with a broad range of internal stakeholders (Financial Risk, Group Treasury, Finance, Pricing, as well as Head office) and external stakeholders (regulators and external auditors) to support strategic decision making by providing relevant insights in complex topics.

**Your key responsibilities**:
Identify, assess, control, monitor and report on the risks under your responsibility, while carefully managing non-financial risks relating to your activities. This includes primarily:

- Detecting and understanding the funding & liquidity risks that are present in existing and new products that are sold in the retail and commercial banking lines
- Ensuring an end-to-end management of the funding & liquidity risks by executing Risk Identification and Assessment, Risk Appetite setting, Stress Testing, and Risk monitoring and reporting
- Making sure that these risks are adequately centralised in the Group Treasury function and that the remaining positions are in line with the set risk appetite, while executing second line role on GT execution of the funding & liquidity risk strategy (a.o. ILAAP, Funding Plan, CCFP, Intraday liquidity, etc.)
- Monitoring and reporting on funding & liquidity risk in the most efficient way, striving for simplification of processes to free up analysis time for you and your team
- Embedding funding & liquidity risk mindset transversally across the bank
- Further enhancing the funding & liquidity risk management practice within the BeLux region, while considering recent and future regulatory and market changes
- Providing in depth analysis of assigned risks and discussing with colleagues from the commercial network, Group Treasury, Finance and Head Office functions
- Maintaining regular contact with the regulator (NBB and ECB) in the changing ALM regulatory environment
- Closely cooperating with ING Group and transversally through the bank on all funding & liquidity related topics (e.g. model developments, stress-testing, ILAAP, etc.)
- Being able to provide general support on Balance Sheet Risk to risk managers in their specialist area
- Preparing and participating to the ALCO Belux meeting on topics under your responsibility, and acting as secretary of the preparatory committee to ALCO being the Strategic Liquidity Management committee.

As **Head of Funding & Liquidity risk**, you will also need:

- Analytical skills and an academic track record preferably in an economic or quantitative field (applied or theoretical economics, financial engineering, etc.). CFA or FRM certifications are a plus.
- 5 years of relevant experience in ALM or Financial Risk Management domains, and minimum 3 years of people management experience
- Ability to understand complex balance-sheet dynamics and technical concepts, as well as to clearly communicate on them
- Knowledge about the applicable regulations, the market trends, the banking products and a broader Risk perspective
- Experience in aligning with senior and multi-disciplinary stakeholders
- A problem solving attitude and ability to adapt in a fast-changing environment, autonomously as well as in collaboration with others
