At TUI, we are looking for a talented Head of Delivery to join the Western Region technology organisation. As Head Of Delivery, you are responsible for ensuring the end to end delivery of technology change into the Western Region Business, from the Local and the Group Technology Domains.
ABOUT THE JOB
Working closely with Senior Business Product and Technology Domain Owners, you will ensure business product strategy is understood, translated into technology demand, aligned and prioritised at a Global Technology Domain level. You will lead the local delivery team and are coaching and developing them.
**Some of your key responsibilities will include**:
Identifying business needs and opportunities in alignment with business strategy and feed them into the demand management process. You will manage a demand pipeline of planned and unplanned Western Region Business requests and work closely together with the domains to create deliverable technology products.
Owning the delivery of local regional change initiatives enabled by technology. You also own the Western Region Technology Roadmap in the transition to one global platform, ensuring the Western Region Business benefits are realised. End to end testing, measuring performance and ensure value maximisation from the Global Domains are part of delivery management.
Building, owning, developing and fostering the IT /Business relationship across Western Region and Global Technology Domains. You develop a good knowledge of TUI overall Western Region business model, key systems, processes, underpinning business operational integrity. You understand business issues or concerns and work with the appropriate areas in Global Technology Domains to ensure their resolution.
Building strong, positive working relationships at all levels in the business, including Western Region Board Members, Heads of Functions, Business Product Leads,and build also relationships with key managers and leaders in Technology.
Providing reporting and delivering presentations to the business covering projects and updates.
Creating IT awareness of business strategic agenda and priorities and criticality of IT in achieving business objectives to the IT community.
Leading and inspiring delivery teams with a mix of internal employees, external suppliers and contractors on a daily basis. You ensure high delivery standards and high performance of these teams.
ABOUT YOU
Solid understanding and knowledge of Information Technology.
Experience of managing delivery teams in a matrix organisation, ideally in an international context is key with a proven record of inspiring and motivating a diverse team.
Good grasp of experience with the respective tech-stack (e.g. cloud technology, design patterns, micro-services, CI/CD and DevSecOps and operational principles and practices).
Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
Demonstrable experience of building consensus around change, influencing and managing conflicting agendas.
Ability to see the big picture and think strategically, analyse complex business requirements and IT delivery options, translate them into actionable deliverables and drive them to completion.
Ability to think commercially, deal with ambiguity and uncertainty and be able to evaluate options to meet business expectations and provide maximum value.
Excellent communicator, both verbal and written, in English and Dutch. Comfortable communicating high level concepts to senior stakeholders whilst also being able to delve into the detail of complex changes when required.
