**. Purpose**

The teamlead of the Policy Administration team is responsible for providing a high quality and effective, technical and administrative support to our external and internal clients.

**2. Dimensions**
The role reports into the Underwriting Operations Manager.
- The role will be responsible for approx 15 direct reports in administration: Liability, Fire, Engineering, Fleet and Technical Accounting ;
- The job holder will provide excellent customer service to all customers of Policy Administration, both external and internal;
- The UW support teamlead will, in close collaboration with the UW Operations Manager, identify and implement opportunities to increase said customer service. In addition to this proactive feedback regarding the practical implementation of the strategic plan in this domain is expected.
- The job holder will build relationships with other key supporting functions to enable admin to operate effectively and efficiently;
- The UW Support Teamlead collaborates with the respective LU’s to discuss their needs regarding the administrative process, issues, potential improvements. Where possible these outcomes will then be implemented across the entire UW support staff.
- The UW Support Teamlead actively asks the broker community for feedback to improve service to them, whilst keeping a close eye on market trends in this segment.
- In support of the UW Operations manager/Operations team assist in drafting the processes, aligning these where possible and ensure these are implemented

**3. Key Result Areas **.

**Team Management**:

- Performance Review & Objective setting, training, coaching and development plans
- Monitoring & recording team sickness, holiday & absence.
- Organize regular meetings with up to date and informative content, discussing current topics, circulars, projects, and regulatory items, issues and actions should be documented and followed up accordingly.
- Focus on change management when required to help implement change as smoothly as possible

**Workflow**
Prioritising and allocating workflow, adhering to departmental procedures.

Identify potential improvement, flag issues to UW Operations Manager to ensure a continuous improvement of our processes/systems

**KPI - dashboard and reporting**
Ensure that a dashboard is in place to report on agreed KPI’s regarding workload, throughput time (linked to agreed SLA’s), data quality that is discussed with the team and the UW Operations Manager on a (bi)weekly basis.

**Administration**
All associated administration and housekeeping duties in relation to the timely and accurate processing and recording of all business written in the Underwriting area, to include structure of scanning and quote logging etc which must be both timely and accurate to ensure the meeting of business plan objectives and underwriting service standards.

**Quality Control**:
As directed, carrying out quality control on all business processed through the Policy Administration department, policy documentation issuance, policy checking, outstanding renewals and lapses.

Data quality standards need to be implemented and controlled, in line with internal procedures.

**Relationship Management**:
Maintain an active relationship with underwriting (management), provide support and participate actively in Underwriting team meetings, where required.
