**We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Event Production Trainee** to join our Brussels-based team for a 6-month traineeship. This role offers hands-on experience in the end-to-end production of events, encompassing project management, logistics, and operations. The trainee will work closely with our events team to ensure the seamless execution of POLITICO Live events across Europe.
**What You'll Do**
**Project Management**:
- Assist in planning and coordinating all aspects of event production, from conception to completion, including through the use of project management tools such as Asana
- Support the development of event timelines, schedules, and action plans
- Collaborate with internal teams, including editorial, marketing, and sales, to align event objectives and deliverables, communicate them across teams, and provide proper documentation to all key stakeholders
**Logistics and Operations**:
- Coordinate venue research, selection, setup, and breakdown, ensuring all technical and logístical requirements are met
- Assist with managing relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to secure necessary services and equipment
- Assist with registration processes, attendee communications, and on-site event management
**Marketing and Promotion**:
**Post-Event Evaluation**:
- Contribute to post-event debriefs, gathering feedback from attendees, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Assist in the analysis of event performance data to assess success and identify areas for improvement
- Support the preparation of post-event reports and presentations
**What You'll Need**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in event management, communications, marketing, or a related field
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in other European languages is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with event management software and CRM systems is advantageous
- Demonstrated interest in politics, policy, and current affairs, particularly within the European context
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends, as required by event schedules
