Functieomschrijving
- Bepalen en bewaken van de scope van elk project en pro-actief opvolgen van de voortgang van het project
- Aansturen van en samenwerken met projectmedewerkers
- Rapporteren van de projectresultaten aan de Research Manager, project sponsors en klinische experten.
- Zelf realiseren van onderzoeksprojecten met een grote maatschappelijke relevantie
- Koppelen van onze databank aan externe databanken en het uitvoeren van data-cleaning en data-analyse.
- Inconsistenties opsporen in de (project-specifieke) databanken en corrigeren. Nagaan van de volledigheid en betrouwbaarheid van de gegevens, datavalidatie. Waar mogelijk automatiseringen/algoritmen uitwerken om inconsistenties recht te zetten.
- Meewerken aan de ontwikkeling en implementatie van de werkprocessen.
Profiel
- Je bezit een Master of PhD in een wetenschappelijke richting en je hebt minstens 4 jaar significante ervaring opgedaan in het beheer van wetenschappelijke onderzoeksprojecten. Rapporteren van wetenschappelijke resultaten (mondeling en schriftelijk) is je dan ook niet vreemd.
- Je hebt een gedegen ervaring in het managen van projecten en weet mensen te motiveren en stimuleren, ook om vooropgestelde deadlines te behalen.
- Gezien de wetenschappelijke context, is kennis van oncologie, kankerregistratie en epidemiologie enerzijds, en kennis en ervaring met classificatie-, codeer
- en koppelingssystemen die worden gebruikt in databanken voor de gezondheidszorg anderzijds, net als ervaring met fondsenwerving en het schrijven van onderzoeksvoorstellen een duidelijk pluspunt.
- Je beheerst softwareprogramma’s zoals SAS of R, voor het beheer van gegevensbanken en gegevensanalyses, en je werkt vlot met MS Office.
- Je werkt georganiseerd, gestructureerd en voert je taken met de hoogste nauwkeurigheid uit.
- Je staat open voor permanente vorming: bijhouden van wetenschappelijke ontwikkelingen binnen je domein van onderzoeksactiviteit op het Kankerregister, aanvullende cursussen en training op gebied van je expertise.
- Je kan je vlot uitdrukken in het Nederlands en het Frans, en Engels beheers je minstens vanuit een wetenschappelijke context.
