IT Procurement Specialist

Are you an experienced procurement specialist with a passion for IT products and services? We are seeking a dedicated IT Category Buyer to join our dynamic team in Belgium. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage the procurement of software and services within the Business Applications domain on an international scale.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Lead purchasing projects for your designated subcategory within IT (products and/ or services).
- Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager on complex IT procurement projects.
- Handle purchasing and contract management for a specified range of IT products and services.
- Maintain and develop relationships with key suppliers and internal customers.
**Secondary Responsibilities**:
- Oversee contract renewals from both an administrative and operational perspective.
- Conduct total cost of ownership analyses and negotiate based on these insights.
- Prepare reports on spend analysis, supplier evaluations, performance measurements, and added value realization.
- Participate in sourcing and user teams to enhance service delivery to Business Partners.
- Conduct targeted market analyses to stay abreast of IT market trends.
**Technical Profile Requirements**:
- In-depth knowledge or strong interest in IT product categories and services.
- Experience in a purchasing, sales, or IT project environment is a plus.
**Non-Technical Profile Requirements**:
- Excellent purchasing and negotiation skills with strong commercial acumen.
- High-stress resistance and the ability to remain diplomatic and composed under pressure.
**Other Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a commercial, business, economics, IT, or technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Fluent in Dutch and English; proficiency in German and French is a plus.
**Please note**:This is an initial freelance contract with the view to becoming a permanent employee after 6 months.
