APRE - the Italian Agency for the Promotion of European Research is looking for a _Policy and Communication Officer_ to support the activities of its _Brussels Unit_, ideally starting from April-May 2023.

**WHAT IS APRE?**

APRE is a non-profit membership organisation that supports and promotes the Italian participation to EU programmes for research and innovation. It brings together a large part of public and private players of the Italian R&I landscape - more than 150 members among universities, research centres, industries and trade associations.

**APRE IN BRUSSELS**

**ROLE AND RESPONSIBILIT**IES**
- Support the Liaison Office in the relations with EU institutions, APRE’s EU networks and relevant stakeholders
- Monitoring, analysis and reporting on EU R&I / Horizon Europe-related policies, relevant sectoral macro-policies
- Internal and external information and communication activities, including the creation of informative and in-depth contents dedicated to our members
- Support advocacy/campaign activities
- Contribution to events design, planning and management
- Contribution to EU project management, including project proposal drafting

**MAIN REQUIREMENTS**

APRE is looking for a proactive young professional with the following main requirements:

- Place of work: Brussels
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience
- Very good knowledge of the EU institutions’ internal working and decision-making process
- Strong interest in and good knowledge of research & innovation policies and Horizon programme
- Good knowledge of Italy’s research and innovation ecosystem
- Excellent writing skills and verbal fluency in English and Italian
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Good project drafting and management skills are a plus
