**About the Automation & Collaboration team**

Our team is part of the corporate IT department and acts with focused centers of excellence on collaboration, automation, integration and (Gen)AI use cases. We deploy a framework for hyperautomation to select technology fit for purpose: use of the shelve or build tailor made solutions. It is our ambition to achieve task automation, process automation and augmentation goals in a sustainable and affordable way, but above all because of the values it carries.

**Position Overview and Key Responsibilities.**

Join us as an automation architect and solution consultant. You will be part of a dynamic team, at the forefront of innovation, committed to solving complex business challenges through data driven insights and automation. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative AI projects.

As a solution consultant, you will be in close contact with business stakeholders, in search of innovative solutions to drive business growth and efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and identify opportunities for AI-driven solutions. You will translate business needs into automation projects and lead small and medium sized projects.

As an automation architect, you have a broad and deep understanding of the Umicore IT landscape and building blocks on which process automation and AI driven solutions can be build. Based on this profound knowledge, you will architect and design AI solutions that seamlessly integrate with the existing IT landscape or propose new building blocks to enrich the existing ones. You will closely collaborate with Technical AI experts, to stay informed about advancements in AI, machine learning and automation.

**Who we are looking for**:
Master in information technology, computer science or commercial engineer.

Experience with AI tools and Machine learning techniques.

Knowledge of cloud platforms and low-code development, automation and integration platforms.

Able to work within the governance guardrails, challenging the rules when appropriate.

Strong understanding of data analysis techniques.

Excellent communication skills.

Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative.

Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills

Mature, assertive and dynamic personality, with excellent interpersonal skills.
