Through our internship programme, we aim to bring new innovative ideas into the Alliance. You will get a first-hand look at the inner workings of an international tech organisation, while adding valuable skills and experience to your CV.
**About the Programme**
Internships last between 3 to 10 months, and may commence at any point during the calendar year. With the support from our Security team you will have to obtain a security clearance before taking up your post with us, so we are flexible on your potential start date.
During this programme you will join and support different teams and the same time you will learn from our business experts via on-the-job training and shadowing.
**Eligibility Criteria**
As an Intern at the NCIA, you’ll be expected to be able to relate and network well with your colleagues by being able to easily establish good relationships across the Agency and work with people at all levels. By building an effective network of contacts, you will create and innovate by producing new ideas, approach or insights to the projects and activities that you will undertake. We expect our Interns to deliver results by focusing on the needs of your stakeholders and work in a systematic, methodical and orderly way to achieve your projects or activity goals.
You need to be national of a NATO member country, be currently studying towards a university-level degree or have recently graduated, in the past 12 months, and have strong communication skills in English, both written and oral.
In order to assess your eligibility for the Internship Programme, please attach the following documents:
- Copy of university qualifications you have completed and/or
- Proof of ongoing studies with the dates clearly mentioned if you are still studying.
**Internship Description**
Internship duration**:6 months**
Chief Service Operation (CSO) is accountable to plan, transition into service, operate and maintain CIS services throughout this AOR. Moreover, CSO serves as signature authority for Agency orders involving deployment of staff and equipment to Operations and Exercises and is responsible for CIS operational situational awareness to the General Manager (GM) and Chief of Staff (COS). For new CIS services under transition into service, the CSO will execute Business Change Authority duties as delegated by the GM to prepare both the NCI Agency and the receiving operational community to sustain business continuity operations. CSO is to foster and sustain the highest levels of customer relationship with the operational User community. Additionally CSO is to exercise best business operations between the Operational User-facing CIS Support Units to the under-pinning infrastructure services delivered by the NCIA Service Owners (SOs). CSO is responsible for all Asset Management and logístical support for all NATO owned CIS equipment.
You will be based in **Mons **, Belgium **and you will:
- Assist with Asset Management processes review and analysis
- Identifying risks, opportunities, faults, and areas for development within the AM framework
- Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements
- Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects
- Establishing and implementing the mechanisms by which benefits can be delivered and measured
- Write documentation for IT Asset Management
- We would like you to: _
- Have a Bachelor's degree or higher in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or a related field
- Have a technical background (for example, channels of data + data gathering tools + data warehouse + data processing tools, etc.)
- Possess good communication and documentation skills
- Have exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Have the ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
- Have experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations
- Possess excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills

**Compensation**
You will be compensated at a **fixed taxable rate **of 1140.60 EUR per month, based on 38 hours of work per week and for travel expenses.
