We give our partners greater access to drug development and production autonomy through technical and business model innovation. **Quantoom Biosciences** is proud to host an interdisciplinary team of passionate scientists, engineers, technicians, and corporate profiles committed to solving some of the biggest challenges in DNA- and RNA manufacturing for vaccines and therapeutics. **Quantoom Biosciences **has two facilities; the headquarters are based in Nívelles (Belgium), and the France Research Center focusing on offering an end-to-end DNA production platform based in Evry (France).
Due to an increase in work, we currently have open a temporary position (6 month) within our French affiliate located in Evry. We are looking after a **Laboratory Technician DNA Production** who will help the current team in the production of custom DNA. As **Laboratory technician DNA Production**, you will actively use all classical molecular Biology technics and also be involved in the DSP Process using for example, purification system like Akta.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
In the lab, you will be overall responsible for the execution of operational work, and you will carry out all activities associated with DNA production and Molecular Biology such as:
- Laboratory work within the areas of molecular biology, including DNA preparation, Polymerase Chain Reaction and Isothermal DNA amplification.
- Use of Nucleic Acids precipitation, Akta FPLC system and magnetic beads.
- Use of analytical technics such as agarose gel electrophoresis, capillary electrophoresis, DNA quantification (absorbance and fluorescence).
- Evaluate and report experimental results and ensuring that research data and protocols are entered into Lab Notebook and batch records.
- Maintain stocks, reagents, buffers and laboratory equipment.
- Share responsibility within the team in terms of defining objectives and meet pre-set deadlines.
- Participate in the general operation and maintenance of the laboratory facilities.
- Carry out any other relevant duties as may reasonably be associated with the position, and which may be required from time to time.
**REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry or Biomedical Sciences
- Minimum 2 years of experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, aseptic practices and analytical methods
- Strong sense of observation and capability of troubleshooting
- Enthusiasm and agility to work on a variety of projects and to learn more every day
- Strong organizational skills, proactivity, scientific curiosity, desire to be impactful
- Capability to leverage know-how with classical cell culture techniques to participate in the development of the new generation solutions
- Capability to work in a cross-functional and multi-cultural team
- Understanding of English is a plus (written and spoken)
