Become an Operational & Financial Auditor at Athora on an open-ended contract in Brussels.Under the direction of the CEO, the Internal Audit department provides independent assurance that governance and operational processes of the company are operating effectively; the department supports the strategy of the company and is a key-player in protecting the health of the organization.This small team consists of 2 colleagues who are waiting for youYour responsibilitiesAs Operational & Financial Auditor, your key responsibilities will include :Executing all phases of assigned audits (planning, execution, reporting) in ensuring timely and accurate deliverables that comply with the Internal Audit Standards.Communicating audit status, issues, and reporting tasks with the Head of Internal Audit.Formulating valid audit issues and develop conclusions leading to specific business process improvements and internal control recommendations.Providing quality working papers and audit reports.Carrying out the follow-up assessments of the progress made in the implementation of the recommendations within the business units.Participating in the completion of the annual risk assessment for the business units.Your profileYou hold a master’s degree in legal, finance, economics, audit or equivalent.You have at least 3 years' experience in internal or external audit department within the insurance or financial sector.You have a general understanding of insurance/reinsurance industries, including corporate investment, corporate finance, Solvency II and a general understanding of statutory reporting requirements.You are familiar with risk-based and business process focused audit approach.You are a highly motivated self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit and an ability to work under pressure in a challenging environment, meet strict deadlines and manage conflicting interests.You have a proven track record as an auditor, with proficiency working across multiple teams and functions.You are proactive, have an enthusiastic attitude to work and are committed to continuous process improvements.You have strong written & oral communications skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and to communicate with different cultures and levels within the organisation.Good reasons to join usA permanent employment contract.A company on a human scale within a dynamic group where you can rapidly make an impact.Accessible management close to staff and a pleasant working environmentMany opportunities for development, thanks in particular to our Athora Academy.Balance between professional and private life with generous holidays (at least 39 days a year), flexible working hours and up to 3 days of teleworking a week.An attractive salary package plus various fringe benefits.Modern, bright offices conducive to collaboration.A central location in the Porte de Namur district, accessible by train and public transport and with parking facilities available if needed.Last but not least… a sunny terrace, after-work gatherings between colleagues, team-building activities, an annual staff day and many other events to discover… 😉If you are looking for a friendly organisation with a human face and attach value to cooperation and helping one another, you have come to the right place#LI-Hybrid
