We are looking for a motivated person to strengthen and eventually head up our team, in order to help the team improve the operations of the group.

As EMEA Credit Manager you oversee all aspects of collections and credit risk processes and results for the division in the EMEA region, with a specific focus on Belgium, and act as Headquarter for our Client division.

Thanks to your business acumen, you tackle issues in the order-to-cash process that may lead to nonpayment risks, you liaise with the relevant stakeholders to solve eventual issues on a case-by-case basis, and you also like to find the root causes and act on them to improve the working capital structure of the division. In cooperation with group treasury, you also manage FX risks, cash management, and relations with the banks for the local entities in scope.

**Your Challenges**:

- You manage the day-to-day collection process, identify payment delays, and ensure the complete and on-time collection of the customers’ cash, including follow-up of any bankruptcy/insolvency proceedings.
- You report the top 10 to 20 issues by country to management monthly, propose actions and analyze root causes to improve overall customer experience & satisfaction.
- You assist in the monthly group reporting where needed with regards to open receivables/working capital, as well as bad debt and related accruals.
- You secure payments by screening prospects' financials and proposing and negotiating with the internal stakeholders the appropriate payment terms and conditions.
- You explore the security possibilities and manage the operations linked to these (bank guarantees, letters of credit, bills of exchange, credit insurance...).
- You analyze the processes (credit management and collection at first, but other processes that may affect it as well) and continuously improve and automate them, aiming at reducing working capital needs. You like and drive innovative changes.
- You calculate the FX risks linked to the relevant transactions and propose adequate solutions (hedging...) in cooperation with the group treasury.
- You use quantitative risk calculations also in specific projects with more complex financing (leasing, renting, machines as a service...).
- You are the central point of contact for the banks in the EMEA region, liaising with the group regarding the administration (KYC...) and setup of the operations (cash management).

**Your Best Skills**:

- Education: University Master's preferably in economics
- 7-10 years in credit & collection management, with a strong preference for the banking sector
- Analytical person and an Excel master
- Good skills in Quantitative risk
- Result-oriented
- Business partnering
- IT & Process oriented, ERP experience preferred
- Team builder
- Driver of change
- Excellent command of English, other languages a plus
