Context

The Procurement Department of Degroof Petercam is currently looking for a general support intern to start as soon as possible for a period of 6 to 12 months to support the Vendor Management team.

Working in the Vendor Management department within the COO organization, and closely collaborating with multiple other stakeholders, you will conduct various tasks in the area of contract management, spend analyses, tendering and communication.

The Procurement Intern will provide support in negotiating contracts, assisting in the management of RFx and a number of improvement tasks, thereby learning on the job and gaining relevant development towards a future career, while playing a role in achieving the Procurement team’s objectives.

Your Position

During your internship, you will be part of the Procurement team based in Brussels.

Your main tasks will be in the area of contract management: you will have the opportunity as member of the team, to work, follow and optimize the flow of contracts in connection with Business, Facilities Department, Accounting and Legal Department.

You will also be responsible for assisting our team in the following tasks:

- You will create contracts (new contracts, renewal and termination of contracts) and follow-up the entire process from the meeting with the internal stakeholder to filing the contract;
- You will help with the optimisation of tools and data within the department to improve quality and efficiency;
- You will participate in managing the contracts database as well as the database for external staff at BDP;
- Additionally, you will assist in creating contractor reports and spend analyses;
- On top of that, you will have the opportunity to meet the different departments during meetings and be involved concretely in various projects.

Your Profile
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Business Administration, Law, Business engineering, Procurement or any related field.
- You are fluent in Dutch and or French with a thorough knowledge of English;
- You have Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills;
- You are familiar with MS-Office and Outlook;
- You are able to work independently in a responsible, and rigorous way;
- You are flexible and a team player;
- You are able to meet deadlines and stress-resistant;
