Context
Are you looking for a dynamic and hands-on internship in a professional and welcoming environment? Join the reception team at Degroof Petercam, where you’ll be the first point of contact for clients and visitors. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop your communication, organizational, and service-oriented skills while contributing to the company’s image and daily operations. You’ll work closely with the Facilities, VIP Events, and Office Management teams.
Your position
As a Reception & Administrative Support Intern, you will assist the reception team in delivering a high-quality experience to clients, visitors, and internal staff. Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming and assisting visitors and employees at the reception desk
- Managing incoming phone calls and directing them appropriately
- Coordinating meeting room bookings and ensuring proper setup
- Preparing and serving beverages (coffee, tea, water) for meetings and events
- Supporting administrative tasks such as filing, mail handling, and supply orders
- Assisting with internal events logistics (room setup, coordination, guest support)
- Collaborating with Horeca and Facilities teams to ensure smooth daily operations
- You will report to the Hospitality Management Lead and interact with various departments to ensure a professional and efficient front-office experience.
**Profile**:
- Studies in administration, hospitality, communication, tourism, or a related field
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluency in French and Dutch; English is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- A proactive attitude, team spirit, and professional discretion
- Availability: ideally full-time or minimum 4 days/week
