For many years, climate change has made it clear that we must engage into gradually phasing out fossil fuels. All organizations, especially those in Europe, need an urgent energy revolution given the current geopolitical climate. At TES, we believe that this is an unprecedented moment to tackle both energy security and climate neutrality. Our goal is to open the door to a new, scalable energy system, entirely built on existing technology, that will operate for decades and provide access to an abundant and cost-effective supply of clean energy.

Our novel process relies on current, tried-and-true technologies while importing substantial amounts of reasonably priced renewable energy. We will transform sun and wind into sustainable and cost-effective eNG (electric natural gas), combining green H2 and circular CO2 and using existing infrastructure to deliver green, secure energy.

To deliver on its ambitions TES is currently building a world class top management team. In parallel the organization is growing from 120+ employees today to several hundred by the end of next year.

**What you will do**:
As Procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing our procurement activities, with a main focus on Europe. You will, together with a few existing procurement specialists that you will manage as a team lead, establish best-in-class procurement processes. You will collaborate with various stakeholders and be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing, negotiation and acquisition of materials, services, and equipment necessary for our sustainable e-NG production and distribution.

**As** **Procurement Manager, you will**:

- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with our objectives, ensuring the timely availability of required resources for construction projects while optimizing costs.
- Be the team lead of a small procurement team, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment. Provide guidance in the execution of procurement activities, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on their performance, environmental practices, and adherence to ethical standards. Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and negotiate favorable terms to achieve the best possible value for TES-H2 while ensuring high-quality products and services.
- Champion the company's commitment to sustainability by integrating eco-friendly practices into the procurement process. Source materials and services from environmentally responsible suppliers, with a focus on reducing the company's carbon footprint and promoting sustainable practices across the supply chain.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms for construction materials, services, and equipment.
- Skillfully negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms, conditions, and service level agreements that mitigate risks and safeguard the interests of TES.
- Monitor and control procurement budgets, ensuring spending is in line with approved budgets and cost-saving opportunities are identified and pursued.
- Ensure compliance with policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations throughout the procurement process.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering long-term partnerships that enhance procurement efficiency and reliability.
- Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes, incorporating best practices and innovative approaches to streamline operations.

Wilhelmshaven office or Brussels office + home office

**Who you are**:

- You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in procurement management, supply chain management or equivalent.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in procurement, with a proven track record of successfully managing procurement processes, preferably within the construction industry.
- Familiarity with leading a small team of procurement professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- You are adept at negotiations with strong influencing abilities to secure favorable terms and conditions in supplier contracts.
- You can bring structure to complex procurement processes, ensuring organization and efficiency in procurement activities.
- Extensive knowledge of procurement processes specific to construction projects, including sourcing construction materials, services, and equipment.
- Strong analytical skills and budget management capabilities to control costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Fluent in German and English.
