To join our Financial Department we are currently recruiting an

**ACCOUNTING MANAGER**

As Accounting Manager, your main responsibilities are
- oversee company’s accounting and tax compliance.
- maintain accurate statutory and IFRS accounting records
- prepare and submit the reporting on time.
- prepare the direct and indirect tax filings.
- manage accounting team

The key focus areas are general ledger accounting and balance sheet accounts.

**Your accountabilities will be**:

- _Manage daily accounting:_
- Maintain General Ledger accounting
- Maintain Payroll accounting
- Maintain Asset accounting
- Issue invoices for PolyPeptide SA
- Perform account reconciliations and justifications
- _Closing & Reporting:_
- Prepare IFRS month end closing and report to the Group
- Contribute to monthly commentary report
- Prepare year end closing and reporting IFRS and Belgian Gaap
- Liaise with consolidation team and group affiliates for IC reconcilations
- Manage financial and internal audits
- Prepare statutory accounts BNB
- Prepare annual financial information for Workers Council
- Report statistics and handle inquiries
- Coordinates the results appropriation process (board of directors/general assembly)
- _Manage direct & indirect taxes:_
- Prepare / oversee VAT & Intrastat declarations
- Ensure VAT rules are followed correctly
- Manage any other direct or indirect tax matters
- Manage tax audits
- Coordinate corporate income tax declaration
- Coordinate local file for transfer pricing compliance
- Coordinate fiscal incentives with external experts
- _Finance support and projects:_
- Perform internal controls
- Improve finance systems, processes and policies
- Support global finance initiatives & projects and participate actively in local implementation
- Assist Finance Director in financial exercises and projects
- Ensure key user role for finance module ERP and other finance systems and tools
- Advice business on the accounting and tax matters. Enhance finance knowledge in the organization.
- _Financial planning:_
- Contribute to financial planning (budget & forecast) exercises

- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Leadership skills

**Your profile**:

- Bachelor or Master Degree in accounting or finance
- Proven experience of minimum 3 years as senior accountant / auditor
- Knowledge of Belgian Gaap and IFRS
- Knowledge of Belgian direct and indirect tax
- Experience in People Management
- Fluent in French and English
