The HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) department is looking out for a new colleague in order to strengthen our department.

We are looking for a **HSSE Project Support Manager** with main focus on the full integration of HSSE aspects during the development, execution, commissioning and handover of industrial projects within the perimeter of Thermal Europe (Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and UK).

**Your CHALLENGE as HSSE Project Support Manager**
- You follow up a project portfolio composed of several industrial projects in different phases and based on different technologies.
- You continuously build up HSSE expertise on HSSE in projects by keeping a close watch on new evolutions (e.g. risk management methods, risks related to new technologies as e.g. batteries, H2,)
- You follow up the evolution of ENGIE HSSE policies / requirements / rules and complement with specific Thermal Europe minimum requirements / rules where applicable
- As a HSSE professional you either support project HSSE/technical experts and on occasion (only BD phase) take up on an interim basis the role of HSSE expert for an agreed portfolio of industrial projects. This can consist of b.o.:

- Defining the HSSE part of the project requirements.
- Developing and implementing the HSSE management plan.
- Guiding and supporting BD / PM to ensure proper staffing and capabilities are available in the project to address H&S and Process Safety.
- Coordinating of the assessment of prime contractors/contractors/sub-contractors/suppliers during the selection process (insert relevant H&S criteria as part of the selection procedure).
- Ensuring that everyone involved in the project has a full understanding of the HSSE objectives and requirements.
- Supporting the BD/PM to manage the H&S budget to comply with the H&S project requirements through the different phases.
- Performing & participating with proper involvement of the project organization, the H&S risk assessment and ensure this is properly incorporated in the project risk management.
- Performing commissioning authorization analysis to be jointly signed with PM/BD.
- Defining and managing in alignment with the BD/PM, the H&S resources, including H&S supervision resources, allocated to the project.
- Ensuring the respect of the roles and responsibilities amongst the stakeholders.
- Facilitating ENGIE’s and contractor managers with responsibilities in the project to be active sponsor and gate keeper of ENGIE H&S Policy, Rules and Procedures.
- Tracking the required H&S records and ensuring continuous improvement from the lessons learned process.
- Supporting projects with the process safety activities.
- Reviewing technical process safety scopes of work and bids.
- Advising projects on the process safety work scope - including the requirements for additional studies
- Reviewing the technical engineering documents undertaken by third parties.
- Participating in the design reviews of the projects.
- You will work in close contact with the Thermal Europe HSSE Manager and with all the other members of the team with special attention to create a close cooperation with the SPOCS of the Clusters.
- You will regularly connect with relevant HSSE experts available within the group

**YOUR PROFILE as HSSE Project Support Manager**:
**Profile**:

- You hold a degree in Engineering in a technical field of study or equal by experience
- You can demonstrate relevant field experience in the field of health and safety and process safety with particular experience with development and execution of industrial projects and Risk Management methods
- Recognized managerial skills, to ensure dynamism and build a solid managerial framework, necessary for the proper functioning of the collaboration with the teams of the projects in BD and execution phase, and with the HSSE team of Thermal Europe and in connection with GBU Thermal & Supply and the H&S at Group level
- Industrial knowledge, to ensure the coherence of actions by integrating the areas of Health, Safety and the Environment in a logic of performance and continuous improvement
- Ethical and deontological skills: guarantee the confidentiality of the information you have regarding the personal situation of employees
- You must be fluent in English, both orally and in writing
- You have good synthesis skills; writing skills are appreciated
- You have a good practical knowledge of management, applied to the field of prevention-health and safety in the industrial sectors
- Teamwork capabilities, sense of service and autonomy
- You have excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- You are available for periodic travel within Thermal Europe perimeter, depending on project portfolio evolution and team meetings
