Finance Business Partner

This position is open for recruitment at our headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark and at the local Terminal in Ghent, Belgium.

**About the role**

**You will join Operations Finance-team in Ferry Finance and you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:
**Month-End Closing & Reporting**
- Oversee month-end closing activities for Terminal Ghent, including P&L by activity.
- Provide variance analysis, commentary, and performance reviews.
- Prepare and update monthly management presentations.

**Forecasting & Planning**
- Lead terminal forecasting processes including budget, rolling forecast, and long-term prognosis.
- Collaborate with CAPEX stakeholders for investment planning and forecasting.

**Strategic Business Partnering**
- Act as a finance advisor to local terminal management, supporting commercial and operational decisions.
- Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and business cases for senior leadership and local teams.
- Respond to financial queries from both HQ and local stakeholders, ensuring transparency and data integrity.

**Terminal P&L Ownership**
- Maintain an accurate and detailed understanding of the Terminal Ghent P&L.
- Communicate performance drivers and risks/opportunities to the business.

**Operational Finance Support**
- Collaborate with AP teams for accurate invoice coding.
- Monitor and support Accounts Receivable processes, including regular coordination with the Shared Service Center in Poznan.

**About you**

You bring a positive, solutions-focused mindset and a natural curiosity that drives you to look beyond the numbers. You’re not just reporting data - you’re eager to understand the story behind it and help shape better decision-making. Collaborative and communicative, you enjoy working with others and value diverse perspectives.

You hold a degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field, with solid experience in financial controlling, FP&A or business partnering - ideally in a complex or international setting.

**Additionally, we’re looking for someone who is**:

- Comfortable engaging across functions and with both senior leaders and operational teams. Analytical and detail-oriented, you also see the bigger picture, turning data into clear, actionable insights.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and ready to help shape a role that’s still evolving - within a team that values ownership, openness, and continuous learning.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken.
