Payment Automation Manager

As a **Payment Automation Manager** responsible **for Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg**, you will be the crucial link between our service station business and the latest automation and IT technologies. Your mission will be to streamline and optimize all payment flows, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional customer experiences.

**Key responsibilities**
- ** Process understanding**: Grasp the intricacies of payment processes (bank and fleet), shop operations, food services, marketing (carwash, loyalty cards, e-vouchers), and accounting (bank and fuel flows) to identify needs and solutions.
- ** Project management**:lead payment automation projects, from planning to execution and monitoring, while coordinating with all stakeholders (internal and external) from the testing phase to implementation.
- ** Collaboration**:Work closely with IT teams and external vendors to integrate and optimize payment solutions.
- ** Standards and training**:Define standards for new installations and maintenance procedures and provide adequate training to team members.
- ** SPOC**:Act as the go-to person in the event of critical problems related to payment flows, cash registers (POS) and fuel at service stations.
- ** Maintenance contracts**:Define and moniter the maintenance contracts and the local implementation with the various stakeholders (group / suppliers).
- ** Advisory role**:Provide expert advice on new business and technical requirements for IT systems and automation (particularly payment systems and cash registers).
- ** Business case analysis**:Collaborate with system architects, business teams and suppliers..

**Main competences and experiences**
- Master’s degree in engineering (industrial or civil) in IT, Automation, Computer Sciences or related field.
- Key knowledge of retail business processes; experience in petroleum industry is a plus.
- At least 5 years’ experience with payment systems and automation technologies, preferably in Retail.
- Strong technical understanding of payment systems (bank, fuel and fuel cards), POS systems (Point Of Sale) and database principles.
- Experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders across multiple functional disciplines, including experience from Business and IT
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and improve complex processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills and proven transversal management abilities.
- A structured and well-organized problem solver with a strategic overview.
- Fluent in English, French and Dutch (both oral and written)
