We are looking for a Business Data Analyst to join our growing Cloud team to develop big-data analytical tools for intellectual property, health care, and other business or research data, to deliver useful analytical insights.

About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- At least 2-3 years of prior experience in data analysis role with demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
- At least 2-3 years of prior experience in working with business users to learn new data and to quickly achieve the desired outcomes
- Experience with data engineering concepts
- Ability to write SQL queries for analyzing data
- Ability to manage, manipulate data from multiple sources and come up with solutions for cross-data analysis
- Ability to design, develop, test and deploy Tableau and Power BI Dashboards

It would be great if you also had...
- Structure ambiguous business problems and recommend visualization solutions
- Experience with analytical backends like Snowflake, Redshift, etc
- Experience with programming, Jupyter Notebooks
- Have a technical background or prior technical experience
- Experience with documentation writing
- Experience with intellectual property data or other business data
- Experience leveraging advanced BI tool functionalities (parameters, actions, context filters, DAX, LOD Expressions, Power Query, etc) to create analytical dashboards

What will you be doing in this role?
- You will be working in a multi-disciplinary team to analyse data, structure and normalize data for analytics, as well as create SQL queries or dynamic BI dashboards to enable combination and analysis of data.
- You will be working with a diverse group of stakeholders performing high level and detailed analysis, across data from multiple sources (including manipulating and validating data, and conducting root cause analysis).
- You’ll be defining and writing queries in SQL and developing analytical visualizations with advanced Tableau and Power BI functionality (built with the end user in mind).
- You will perform system integration and deployment activities, prepare support documentation, and document program and system functions.
