_For an international _leading insurance company_, I am looking for a Legal Counsel _with _experience in _Insurance and/or Liability and/or Litigation_, _speaking French or Dutch, with a very good English_. Brussels_ _& Remote._

**COMPANY DESCRIPTION**:
My client is a leading global (re)insurer (top-10 insurance group).
With a 300-year record and 1.800 people in more than 22 locations worldwide, they deliver a quality service for businesses facing the most complex and demanding risks, on Property & Casualty, Marine and Reinsurance markets.
Its value is also reflected in the many industry awards it has received.

In Belgium, the company has extensive expertise in liability insurance, technical insurance, fire insurance, transport insurance and vehicle fleet insurance.
The company achieves a gross premium of around €150 million and employs approximately 140 people.

**FUNCTION**:
With the team of 15 Legal Counsels, you will be responsible for:

- ensuring all claims are analysed and handled correctly, with regards to liability, and more in particular professional liability claims from lawyers and liberal professions
- determining the coverage and liability in order to deny or settle the claim
- maintaining contacts with brokers, clients, experts and counterparties
- ensuring you remain up to date on market developments with regards to civil liability

**SEARCHED PROFILE**:

- Master in Belgian Law
- Relevant professional experience as a Lawyer or a Legal Counsel in Insurance and/or Liability and/or Claims and/or Litigation
- Dutch or French speaking with a good command of English
- Experience in an insurance company and/or at the Bar is a plus
- Client oriented, pragmatic & great team player
