Description

This internship is a full-time unpaid opportunity in our Global Headquarters in Leuven, with a chance for you to discover what it's like to work in one of the top 5 FMCG companies in the world. The duration of the internship can range from 2 to 6 months or more, depending on your availability.

As an intern you'll get the chance to experience the “real life” business whilst developing your skills - learning through experiencing different areas of the business and building your own reputation. With the right focus and attitude, the internship can lead to a long-lasting career with AB InBev. You will work in our Legal & Corporate Affairs department and will be in frequent contact with your line manager to align on your next steps and responsibilities.

What will you do during the internship?
- As part of the Digital Ethics Team, you will play a key role in supporting the organization’s compliance with European Union digital regulations, with a particular focus on data protection, privacy, and the responsible use of AI technologies. This internship offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about data privacy, digital law, and emerging technologies to gain practical experience in navigating the complexities of EU regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities- Regulatory Research and Analysis: Assist in researching EU digital laws, including GDPR, the AI Act, the Digital Services Act (DSA), or the Data Act. Monitor legislative updates and emerging trends in data protection, AI governance and the EU digital regulatory landscape.- Policy and Procedure Development: Support the review, development, and updating of internal policies to ensure alignment with evolving legal and ethical standards for data protection and digital compliance.- AI Risk Assessment: Collaborate on the assessment of AI systems, focusing on privacy, transparency, and compliance with ethical guidelines and regulatory requirements.- Training Development: Assist in creating and delivering training materials and workshops on topics like data protection, AI ethics, and EU digital compliance for employees.- Compliance Audits: Help conduct internal audits to assess adherence to data protection and digital governance standards, identifying areas for improvement.- Incident Management: Contribute to the investigation, documentation, and resolution of potential data breaches, privacy concerns, or AI-related incidents.- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with Legal, IT, Marketing, HR, and other teams to provide guidance on privacy, AI, and digital compliance initiatives.- Documentation and Reporting: Assist in maintaining comprehensive records of data processing activities, conducting DPIAs, and preparing documentation related to AI accountability and compliance efforts.

This role offers valuable exposure to cutting-edge topics in privacy and digital regulation while allowing you to actively contribute to a meaningful and impactful compliance program.

What are we looking for?- Currently a student at university or recently graduated- Legal authorization to work in Belgium- Fluent in English, other European languages, French, Dutch are good to have but not a must- Legal or technical background- Participation in / completion of a data protection, AI or ICT law oriented master program is a plus
