Senior Compliance Officer

At Zurich Insurance Benelux we are currently looking for an experienced Compliance Officer, preferably with a background in non-life retail insurance, for the Zurich Benelux office. You will establish rigorous compliance discipline and monitor across all functions and businesses in the Benelux branches. As a team you ensure that our compliance management is state of the art and aligned with Zurich's Enterprise Risk Management Framework. You have a strong passion for an ethics-based culture and your efforts will ensure that we can excel in our Benelux strategy. This role is part of our Legal & compliance team and gives you the chance to define how you best work in a way that provides you autonomy.

This is a fulltime hybrid role where you can be based out of our office in The Hague, Netherlands or Zaventem, Belgium.

**Key accountabilities**

As (senior) compliance officer, preferably with a back ground in also non-life retail insurance, MGA/ and/or Affinity, you will play an important role in helping us execute our current 5-year strategy cycle. With your track record in compliance you are able to ensure that our processes and guidelines are adhered to, and you also get the chance to implement policies. Some of your tasks will include:

- Identify and manage Compliance Risk and liaise with appropriate stakeholders
- Implementing policies, processes and controls
- Optimization, providing practical solutions and training to your colleagues
- Being present at external meetings with e.g. insurance/brokers associations and supervisory bodies

**What are we looking for?**
- A proven track record (5 -7 years) in retail insurance, non-life or commercial insurance.
- Minimum a bachelor's degree preferably in the legal field or similar
- You are fluent in English and are able to speak Dutch at a professional level, knowledge of French is an asset.
