Azuro is looking for a Legal Manager Belgium for Allianz Benelux.You will report directly to the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer Benelux and lead a strong, multidisciplinary legal team. In this key role, you combine strategic influence with broad exposure to the legal challenges faced by a Life & Non-Life insurer, making a tangible impact at enterprise level.Working LocationBrussels & homeworkingAbout AllianzAllianz offers a comprehensive range of products and services in Property & Casualty Insurance and Life Insurance for private individuals, self-employed professionals, SMEs, and large corporations.In Belgium, Allianz has chosen to distribute its products and services exclusively through independent professional insurance brokers.Allianz employs more than 1,000 people in Belgium and is a subsidiary of Allianz Group, the global leader in insurance and asset management.Responsibilities and DutiesYou lead a team of 6 Legal Experts as well as the Complaints Department, consisting of a Team Leader and 2 employees.You define their professional objectives and support their ongoing development.You contribute to the strategic direction of Allianz Benelux and translate management decisions into concrete actions.Together with your team, you safeguard the legal interests of the company vis-à-vis customers, partners, and suppliers.You operate across a broad range of legal domains (including insurance law, prudential regulation, corporate and contract law, competition law, etc.).You represent Allianz Benelux in external bodies such as the Legal Studies Committee of Assuralia.You act as an advisor to the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer Benelux on sensitive or strategic matters, including HR-related issues and M&A.You support product management with legal expertise in the development and adaptation of life and non-life insurance products.You organise legal training sessions and ensure proactive monitoring of relevant legislation.ProfileYou hold a Master's degree in Law obtained in Belgium and have at least 8 years of experience in a legal role within the insurance sector.You have proven expertise in prudential regulation and insurance law.You have experience coaching and managing team members.You are fluent in Dutch and French, with a good knowledge of English.You work in a structured and analytical manner and are able to produce clear and impactful summaries.You handle sensitive information discreetly and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong presentation abilities.You are solution-oriented and pragmatic, show initiative, and can adapt quickly to a changing environment.OfferA challenging full-time position in an international environment.A dynamic working environment within Allianz, the world's leading insurance company.A pleasant working atmosphere within an experienced and enthusiastic team.Development opportunities and an attractive compensation package, complemented by additional benefits.A flexible working model that encourages remote work (on average 40% teleworking).
