Jon details:Job title: Data Transmission Network Operator ServiceLocation: Brussels (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)Duration: 11 monthsPay Rate: EURO 300–400/DayRole OverviewClient is seeking a Data Transmission Network Operator to join its Data Transport Network Operations Center (NOC). The role focuses on monitoring, operating, and maintaining clients datacom network to ensure high availability, fast incident resolution, and efficient planning of maintenance and repairs.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and ensure the proper functioning of all Datacom platformsAnalyze, resolve, and escalate network incidents in collaboration with architects, product owners, and external partnersCommunicate with stakeholders during incidents, technical issues, and planned maintenanceSupport daily operations, planning activities, and project-related requestsPerform administrative tasks and maintain technical documentationContribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing within the teamRequired Skills & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Electronics, ICT, Telecommunications, or equivalent experienceStrong hands-on knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, including SDH, DWDM, IP/MPLS, and VoIPExperience in Helpdesk or Network Operations is an advantageStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle urgent operational issuesFlexible, stress-resistant, and eager to continuously learnLanguage RequirementsFluent in Dutch or FrenchGood knowledge of the other national languageGood working knowledge of English (mandatory)
