ACENSI is looking for a BI Analyst / Power BI for one of thier clients in the energy sector based in Brussels :Job descriptionWe are seeking a BI Analyst with very good expertise in Power BI and a solid understanding of data modeling techniques (including star schema) implemented in modern technology stack (Databricks, etc.).This role is pivotal in bridging business needs with data-driven insights by collecting BI requirements and designing dashboards with the appropriate level of governance. You will be part of team with around 5 other BI analysts. Each BI analyst will be assigned to a specific Data & Business Domain.Key Responsibilities• Business understanding and requirement gatheringCollaborate within your team to understand the business activities and to challenge and document BI/reporting needs expressed by the business stakeholdersTranslate business needs into analytical requirements and data specifications• Report & Dashboard creationDesign and build the relationships between the tables (dimension, facts) and use DAX to create calculated columnsCreate interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI using the correct visuals and functionalities (slicers, filters, drill-through, etc.)• Data Understanding & ModelingWork closely with data engineers, architects and BI teams to understand upstream data modelsSupport data governance and quality initiatives by ensuring reports and dashboard are well documentedEnsure that the developments done are optimized for performance, cost, scalability and usability Required SkillsProven experience as BI analyst on the Energy Retail or similar customer-centric industryAdvanced proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, dataflows, etc.)Solid understanding of dimensional modeling (star schema)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilitiesExperience with data governance and visualization standardsPreferred Skills• Good knowledge of SQL• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Sprint, etc.)• Experience with Fabric and modern data platform like DatabricksQualifications• Bachelor or Master's degree in Data Analytics, Information Management, Data Science or related fields• Minimum 5 years of experience in Power BI• Power BI Data Analyst Associate Certificate (PL-300)Languages• Fluent in either Dutch or French• Fluent in English Location and period• Brussels (minimum 2 days at the office)• 01/2026 to 12/2026 (+ extension possible)
