Job Description

We have an amazing new opportunity at our Brussels location in Belgium and are searching for a manager in business analytics to join our data & analytics team.

Our team in BeLux is committed to developing innovative data products to support our decision makers in their data journey and overall business strategy. We work on predictive and descriptive analytics solutions, handling next-generation data projects. Our main goal is to interpret data effectively.

As a manager in business analytics, you will have a key role in boosting business growth and providing insights for strategic decision-making within the BeLux organization. Your main tasks will involve analyzing complex data and offering strategic insights to enhance operational efficiency and improve performance. Your work will entail collaborating with different teams and business stakeholders to identify crucial business issues, create data-driven solutions, and aid in implementing strategic initiatives.

You will work closely with the lead in data & analytics and a talented team of 5 data experts. The team's focus is on generating, analyzing, modeling, and visualizing data to provide actionable insights, encourage data-informed decision-making, and foster a data-centric culture.

KEY RESULT AREAS & TASKS

  • Lead and carry out projects related to SFE, including targeting and segmentation
  • Coordinate primary market research projects to obtain valuable insights for successful product positioning and launch strategies
  • Collaborate with various departments such as marketing, finance, and operations to pinpoint areas for enhancement and design data-driven solutions to streamline processes, boost efficiency, and increase profitability
  • Work together with business stakeholders to outline business goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Conduct thorough analysis of extensive datasets using statistical and data visualization techniques to identify patterns, trends, and insights driving business performance
  • Utilize basic front-end visualization skills to address data requirements and create reports
  • Lead and oversee strategic projects from start to finish, ensuring efficient coordination and successful implementation
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the data team and IT to prioritize tasks, ensure alignment, and tackle obstacles
  • Engage with global and regional teams to share best practices and collaborate on scalable projects across regions
  • Work with external vendors: organize strategic meetings, manage contracts, and track budgets
  • Enhance operational efficiency and improve performance across the board, from standard operating models to operational excellence

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Holder of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, Analytics, or a related field
  • Demonstrated expertise in business analytics, strategy development, and data-driven decision-making
  • Thorough understanding of concepts in Data & Analytics
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools
  • Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams locally and internationally
  • Ability to drive results through influence rather than hierarchy
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Qlik Sense (Power BI)
  • Comfort in handling and analyzing complex data from various sources
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, adept at conveying complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Solid business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong foundation in data with prior experience as an individual contributor with data skills
  • Experience in project management and collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Capability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in business analytics and strategy
  • Fluency in English along with French or Dutch
