Essity is a leading health and hygiene company with many familiar household brands such as Lotus, Okay and Tena, as well as medical brands such as Actimove, Leukoplast. In Belgium we have two sites: Stembert and Diegem. Our Diegem site has multiple Business Units as Professional Hygiene (known from Tork e.g.) Health Medical Science (known from Delta-Cast e.g.) and support Business Units.
As our HR manager for our Diegem site you will be leading the HR road map in alignment with the HR strategy of the several Business Units, under the Country HRD responsibility. You will work in close partnership with the Professional Hygiene business leaders, Health Medical Science business leaders and other relevant (support) BU’s.
Your focus is on coaching leaders/managers, providing HR technical support and influencing processes that enable BU's to effectively deliver their people objectives. As HRM you closely partner with HR CoE specialists at regional level, such as development activities, C&B advises, Talent management (org design, recruitment, coaching,) to deliver on local business needs.

What you will do- Ensure appropriate execution of the HR country roadmap, together with country/cluster COEs and BU HRD.- Ensure compliance to laws and Essity standards through the organization and coach managers; execute appropriate (disciplinary) actions-
- Support learning & development journey through performance review & development plans, talent reviews and manager’s coaching- Together with the Country/cluster EA/TA team:
- promote and develop Essity culture across the organization and execute Corporate training programs-
- initiate recruitment processes with managers and ensure appropriate rollout with Country TA, including efficient inductions for newcomers-
- promote the Essity employer brand to selected business schools-
- Manage cross BUs and countries activities in coordination with HRMs covering Stembert site and Consumer Goods France/Belgium such as Health & Safety related or HR Excellence Process & Tools projects- Local key HR contact for Essity Global Units employees and managers.
Who you are- HR educational background- Former significant experience (at least 3-5 years) as HR manager or specialist in senior roles- Pragmatic, hands-on mentality; keen to take operational HR challenges- Strong interpersonal skills; communication across all levels as well as strong networker- Able to prioritize and work independently- Fluent in Flemish and French; Strong basis with ability to develop fast in one of the 2 is acceptable. Fluent in English- Comfortable with IT tools (Excel, Word, database extractors, ideally Workday)
