**YOUR TASKS**
- Nowadays, a PET scanner is almost always combined with a CT system for anatomical image correlation. Therefore, we will build a CT extension for patients in standing position with this position. A platform will move the patient sideways to obtain the CT image after the PET scan.
- Finally, motion minimization and motion detection methods will be designed to guarantee optimal image quality and registration between PET and CT.
- Supervision of Master and PhD students working on Walk-Through PET-CT.
**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
- You hold a Doctorate in Biomedical engineering
- Experience in deep learning, Monte Carlo simulation, image reconstruction and image processing
**WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU**
- We offer you a contract of definite duration for the period from 1 year and 9 months.
- Your contract will start on the first of November 2024 at the earliest
