**Chief Financial Officer (CFO)**
Waylay is actively searching for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who will be a key business partner to support the CEO and COO. This is a full-time position based in our office in Ghent, Belgium.

**Position Overview**
You will be part of a dynamic and fast-growing team in the middle of an ever-changing industry. Every day brings new challenges, so you will need to be a team player at heart. This role will suit an individual who is not shy of new initiatives and the hands-on work that comes with the territory with an eye for detail. You have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and have great organizational skills so you can prioritize your day to ensure you meet deadlines. Waylay has an international growth trajectory and, for starters, you will be supporting the business operations in Belgium and the US. The role will allow you to work on a strategic level within the organization.
**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the supervision of all financial activities
- Review financial statements and monthly closings and demonstrate understanding of results and financial analysis
- In charge of the budgets and forecasts (including variances analysis) in consultation with management
- Act as point of contact for third-party advisors (banks, auditors, insurance brokers, tax and accounting consultants)
- Actively look to optimize processes for all departments to recommend and implement more efficient and effective solutions
- Responsible for the monthly reporting to the management and Board of Directors
- Partaking in ad hoc strategic projects (fundraising plans etc.)
**Skills & Experiences**
- Master degree in Finance / Business Administration / Economics
- 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in an international technology scale-up
- Highly organized and with the ability to independently take on multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a clear sense of priorities and targets
- Strong analytical skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to meet and establish deadlines
- Flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Keen interest in technology
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English
**Location**:Ghent, Belgium

**Salary**: Up to €1.00 per month
