We are looking for a **Program Manager **based in Diegem, Belgium.

**How will you contribute to the success of DHL?**:

- Developing and prioritising projects to support on-going programs or initiatives to improve the Network’s toolkit and infrastructure, service quality and operations efficiency across all regions
- Recommend, manage and provide input on the scope, costs and benefits of projects on hand/under discussion
- Conducting presentations to senior management/committees regarding costs and benefits of the projects to gain approval
- Provide regular reports on the progress of the project through out its lifecycle
- Communicate, interface and work with the respective IS groups to achieve the defined goals, where specific IS projects are related
- Control and regular meetings to ensure that deliverables are of high quality and are on plan
- Present and get agreement for programs and multiple projects for in concept buy-in and approval using roadmaps other tools as appropriate
- Represent domain and co-ordinate specific functional bodies and working groups
- Ensure that approved projects are developed implemented and executed
- Identify and select staff/resources required to implement the programs
- Manage program/project risks, including the development of contingency plans according to the needs of the programs being managed
- Oversee the implementation of the programs
- Ensure programs are completed on time, within budget and to the agreed specifications
- Advise and support on operational and service-related matters to ensure issues and concerns are reflected at the regional level
- Report regularly on programs/projects handled (via regular reports or the web/internet) to create a learning and information sharing environment so that programs, services, solutions and particularly best demonstrated business practices, can be shared and reused across the region
- Determine organization structure, roles and responsibility and performance targets for the programs
- Develop a culture of quality, service excellence (for internal customers), flexibility and cost consciousness
- Develop team spirit and multitasking capabilities within the program/project team
- Plan, organise and direct an efficient and effective program/project
- Develop IKOs/KPIs with program/project members and monitor individual performance
- Manage the allocation of appropriate resources and commitment of staff to the achievement of Program/Project objectives and targets
- Identify training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional team
- Ensures that the team of program/project managers and other staff are managed in such a way that enhances their skills and provides them with a broad view on the operation. This will ensure the transparency between programs/projects and ensuring that dependencies are catered for in the project solutions

**Do you have what it takes?**:

- A minimum of 7 years experience including at least 3 years in managerial level
- Ideally previous experience gained with DHL, in the Operations/ Services environment with a comprehensive knowledge of the DHL network
- Good understanding of transportation with particular focus on truck and/or airline operations, its place in the overall express process and the dependencies to other functions
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Experience in managing people as direct reports
- Broad-based computer knowledge with a good understanding of information systems needs relating to the transportation sector
- In depth knowledge of express/transport operations processes preferred
- Well-developed project/ process management, prioritising and analytical skills with strong business acumen and some IS project related experience
- Proven ability in report writing: able to prepare analytical reports highlighting and interpreting key business information
- Proven ability to conduct a services
- based audit and gap analysis for the purpose of producing business requirements
- Highly motivated, initiating, good team member
- Flexibility in operating style and attitude
- Diplomatic, tactful, patient and sensitive to cultural differences
- Good presentation skills, good negotiating and influencing skills
- Positive and contributory attitude, total dedication to all customers
