Changes succeed when they are well prepared, guided and anchored, and when attention is given to the people who must bear the change. Change management is therefore crucial, of strategic importance, to take all stakeholders along in a correct, professional, and future-oriented manner, to guide them through these major change processes and to ensure that we have all our employees on board.
Our Finance department is also in constant transformation, (for example, Rolling Forecast, Agile for teams, XPA replacement, ERP replacement) in terms of processes, organization, culture and mindset. To successfully implement these initiatives, we are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Change Manager.
Position Overview:
As a Change Manager in the finance department, you will be responsible for leading and managing change initiatives within Proximus Finance the organization. You will work closely with all Finance teams (Accounting & Consolidation, Performance management, Treasury, Tax and Transformation office) to drive and implement changes, ensuring mínimal disruption to the financial processes and systems while maximizing efficiency and effectiveness. Your role will involve planning, executing, and monitoring change strategies, as well as providing guidance and support to stakeholders throughout the change process.
You report to the lead Finance Transformation Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Change Strategy Development: Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop comprehensive change strategies that align with the organization's financial goals, objectives and culture. Identify potential risks and challenges, and develop mitigation plans to address them.
- Change Planning and Execution: Create detailed change plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Coordinate with project and operational teams to execute change initiatives, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across the finance department and other relevant teams. Communicate effectively to gain buy-in and support for change initiatives. Provide regular updates and address concerns or resistance to ensure successful adoption of change.
- Change Communication: Develop and implement communication plans to keep stakeholders informed about upcoming changes, including the rationale, benefits, and expected impact on financial processes. Tailor messages to different audiences and channels to ensure clear understanding and acceptance.
- Training and Support: Identify training needs arising from changes and collaborate with relevant teams to develop and deliver training programs. Provide ongoing support and guidance to users during the transition period, addressing any issues or challenges that arise.
- Change Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish metrics and evaluation mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of implemented changes. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of change initiatives on financial operations. Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.
- Change Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of change processes, including project plans, stakeholder communications, training materials, and evaluation reports.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes related to financial operations. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies to drive ongoing optimization of financial systems and procedures.
Your Profile
- Proven experience as a change manager or in a similar role within the finance domain or in other transformation programs
- Proficiency in change management methodologies and tools. (e.g ADKAR,)
- Certified project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and monitor complex change initiatives
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for identifying risks and opportunities.
- Ability to work in complex organizations and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic business environment.
