We bieden onze klanten niet alleen een gegarandeerde levering maar daarbovenop de recyclagetechnologie die materialen een nieuw leven geeft. Om nog beter presterende producten te maken en recyclage aan nieuwe markten aan te bieden, mogen we niet stilstaan. We moeten nieuwe methoden ontdekken, nieuwe oplossingen bedenken en nieuwe processen ontwikkelen. En dan kom jij in beeld.

**Wat jij zal doen**

Je maakt deel uit van het R&D Germanium solutions team binnen de business unit Electro-Optic Materials. Als Senior Process and Product Development Manager werk je aan de ontwikkeling van onze volgende generatie germaniumsubstraten.

We proberen hoger te zoeken en daarom zullen we samenwerken om nieuwe chemisch mechanische polijstprocessen te implementeren. Om het proces op te schalen zullen we grotere substraatdiameters en een hogere volumeproductie nodig hebben.

Uw opdracht zal bestaan uit het opbouwen van essentiële expertise, knowhow en fundamenteel inzicht in de nieuw te implementeren polijstprocessen. U zult ook verantwoordelijk zijn voor het opzetten van de nodige teamwerkafspraken zodat de nieuw ontwikkelde concepten kunnen worden getest en geïmplementeerd. Dit werk loopt samen met onze leveranciers, klanten en R&D partners. Wat zijn uw verantwoordelijkheden?
- Je bent verantwoordelijk voor de kwaliteitsverbetering van onze Germanium wafer producten
- Je bent verantwoordelijk voor de succesvolle kwalificatie van ontwikkelde producten intern en extern
- Je staat in voor het opzetten en coördineren van testen, en selecteert en koopt de juiste tools voor een tijdige industrialisatie van nieuwe technologieën
- Je werkt, in nauwe samenwerking met de productie, een verbeterde productiestroom uit, door nieuwe en innovatieve verwerkingsstappen uit te werken en te testen
- Je hebt rechtstreeks contact met eindklanten om hun behoeften volledig te begrijpen
- Je behandelt de ontwikkeling van de vereiste processtappen/modules samen met andere collega's en/of externe partners zoals apparatuurverkopers
- U ontwikkelt, prioriteert en volgt de ontwikkelingsprojecten op binnen een gedefinieerd kader
- Je leidt de R&D-bijdragen van Umicore in door de overheid gefinancierde projecten
- Je behandelt de intellectuele eigendom en design for manufacturing aspecten van de nieuwe product/procesontwikkelingsinspanningen
- Je vat de verworven resultaten samen en stelt ze voor (rapporten/presentaties/vergaderingen)
- U coördineert de kennisoverdracht tussen de verschillende partners om een tijdige industrialisering van nieuwe technologieën te garanderen

**Naar wie we op zoek zijn**
- Je hebt een Ph.D. in natuurkunde, scheikunde, materiaalkunde of verwant vakgebied met aantoonbare bekwaamheid (+ 4 jaar) in de halfgeleiderindustrie
- Je hebt mínimaal 3 jaar praktijkervaring in projectmanagement
- Je bent in staat om procesintegratiestromen te begrijpen en om hands-on processtapontwikkeling te doen
- Werkervaring in een substraatfabriek en vooral met chemisch mechanisch polijsten is een sterk pluspunt.
- Je bent een uitgesproken collega en kan werken in een internationale context.
- Je hebt goede analytische vaardigheden en speelt graag met gegevens. Software voor statistische analyse is een pluspunt (bv. Minitab, jmp,...).
- Je bent gewend om met tijdschema's te werken en kunt tegen stress
- Je kunt werken volgens een goed gestructureerde projectmanagementmethode
- Je hebt uitstekende rapportagevaardigheden en bent in staat de resultaten op een duidelijke en beknopte manier te presenteren
- Je hebt oog voor detail, maar bent ook in staat om op hoog niveau te kijken wanneer dat nodig is.
- Gezien de internationale omgeving zijn goede Engelse communicatievaardigheden vereist. Kennis van het Nederlands is een voordeel. Of je bent bereid het snel te leren
