Scientist job within bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing. Hands-on development of improved bio-reactor processes involving cell cultures. Thorough scientific knowledge needed.
**Job description**
As a scientist you will work on laboratory scale production of proteins using mammalian cell cultures in bio-reactors and processing these proteins in purification steps. You will develop improvements on existing production methods. You also contribute to the start-up of new production lines and improve and monitor existing processes.
**Responsibilities**
- Develop improved processes for existing commercial products using lab sized scale models.
- Transfer technology prof the initial validation and control point to production level.
- Prove the viability of improvements with a strong case and data.
- Monitor existing production processes and use the data to support and safeguard the future.
- Demonstrate project management skills by mapping stakeholders, planning activities, and ensuring timely execution.
**Profile**
- Preferably a PhD in life science.
- You have a strong affinity with working in a laboratory environment.
- Relevant experience with process development.
- You have experience with growing mammalian cells in bio-reactors.
- You have excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- You have knowledge of cGMP
- You have a team mindset with good inter department communication.
- You show traits of innovation, openness for change and flexibility.
- Fluent in English
