Business Lead, Corporate Development

**Essential Responsibilities**
- Represents Corporate Development function within business.
- As a member of corporate development organization works closely with Rockwell Automation’s Life Cycle Services segment and other businesses leadership teams as well as the key stakeholders across the enterprise in the development of inorganic solutions in support of businesses growth and technology development
- Leads development and execution of businesses road map for inorganic activities including M&A, equity investments, etc.
- Lead M&A activities - establishing profiles of potential investment areas of interest and targets, prospecting to maintain sufficient funnel, pursuit of targets including presentations to owners and investors
- Cooperates closely with M&A Operations team to execute an effective diligence, integration planning and deal closing.
- Analyze major trends in the areas of responsibilities, including competitive activities, market, and regulatory/compliance. Provides regular updates and presentations in various company forums and to key executives
**Basic Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business
- Ability to travel globally and domestically 20-25%
**Preferred Qualifications**
- MBA in Finance or Business strongly preferred
- This job typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience.
- Experience with investment banking, private equity or venture funding
- Successful track record as a corporate development professional, including identification, pursuit, evaluation, negotiation, and completion of M&A or other equivalent transactions which were critical to organizational growth
- Deep understanding of existing technology, products, solutions, services, consulting and gaps in supported areas, ability to evaluate market inorganic opportunities for potential strategic and cultural fit, and develop execution strategy using all available resources
- Deep knowledge of the businesses market space, products, solutions, strategies, and gaps, as well as the competitive landscape
- Technical proficiency in supported areas, ability to evaluate market inorganic opportunities for potential fit, and to develop the path forward strategy using all available resources
- Experience in business and/or corporate development, primarily with services, solutions and technology companies that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 10+ years) or equivalent and relevant combination of education, training, & experience.
- Proactive search and active engagement with potential acquisition targets, evaluation for strategic fit, and ability to influence the outcome
- Long-term international business and project management experience
- Strong leadership and negotiation skills and ability to build strong relationships with senior executives
- Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills, working with all levels of the organization
- Excellent executive presentation and communication skills (written and verbal) in English. Other language skills a plus.
- International business experience - preference to be located in EMEA or Asia.
