The company delivers accelerated discovery services as well as process development/optimization to rapidly reach GMP clinical and commercial production of viral vectors and nucleic acids. At **Exothera** and **Univercells**, our mission is to make life-changing therapies available to all.
**MISSION**
At Exothera in Jumet, we are currently looking for an
**Analytical Development Technician (Genomics)**. This is an exciting position within our brand-new Nucleic Acid Business, which is the world's first nucleic acid CRDMO offering continuous RNA manufacturing services, from early discovery up to cGMP manufacturing.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Execution of all operations associated with RNA vaccine analytics in the field of genomics and molecular biology:
- Preparation of reagents and samples
- Execution of routine experimental procedures (PCR/qPCR/RT-PCR/Nanopore sequencing)
- Technical support for the development and qualification of new analytical methods
- Writing and management of documentation related to experiments.
- Data and results collection and record in defined forms with accuracy.
- Results analysis and experimental report writing.
- Correct use and implementation of quality management system within the field of activities (procedures/checklist/working instructions, etc.).
- Contribution to general lab activities (housekeeping and maintenance).
- Management of lab and equipment used for operational work.
- Monitoring and management of stocks of consumables and reagents specific to the project.
- Maintenance of a clean and safe working area by following established housekeeping and safety routines
**PROFILE - QUALIFICATION**:
- Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology/Biology/Bio-Chemistry.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a lab technician in a life science related industry, ideally with some experience under GMP environment.
- Have experience in PCR/qPCR/RT-PCR-based protocols, ddPCR related experience is a plus
- Able to write experiment protocol, analysis and report data for further interpretation and decision making. Being able to design experiment with or without supervision of Scientist is a plus.
- Attention to detail, working in a structured and methodological way is a must.
- Familiar with a wide range of molecular biology techniques, having experience in Nanopore sequencing/Next Generation Sequencing/Sanger Sequencing is a plus.
- Experience of DOE, method (pre-)qualification, method validation is a plus.
- Fluent in English, both speaking and writing, any other language will be a plus.
- Expected to be hands-on and resourceful problem solver.
- You are a real team player, a reliable and communicative colleague.
- At ease with changing projects and organizational priorities, aligned with project deadlines and departmental needs.
- Feel comfortable in a diverse working environment, cooperate with co-workers having different cultural backgrounds.
